Hunts for exotics have been an important aspect of Santa Margarita from the beginning.  These herds have been on the ranch for decades and hunters can expect to see trophies in every class and species.  These exotics may be combined with a whitetail hunt or booked year-round independently.*

*All hunts include a $150 per day guide fee.

Scimitar-Horned Oryx
      The Oryx at Santa Margarita are world-class and hunters can expect to see SCI record book quality. This Oryx herd has been on the ranch since the mid '90s and have become one of Santa Margarita's top attractions.  They are truly beautiful animals and a fun spot-and-stalk hunt.

      Prices are as follows:

• Up to 35 inches: $2500
• 35 - 40 inches: $3500

Axis Deer
    A high number of mature bucks makes the axis herd a popular hunt at Santa Margarita.  Like the Oryx, Axis offer an exciting spot-and-stalk oppotunity.  They may be hunted on their own year-round or combined with a Whitetail hunt during the Fall season.
