Santa Margarita Ranch

Deep in the Golden Triangle of South Texas

Whitetail Hunts
Santa Margarita Ranch has been under whitetail management programs since the mid '90s and supplemented with scientific breeding programs since 2000.  When the current owners bought the property in 2003 however, they initiated the intense and highly-successful management program we have now.  Santa Margarita Ranch teams up with Texas Parks & Wildlife biologists and consultants to conduct helicopter surveys twice every year that determine the harvest quota for that year's hunting season.  Included in the process is an added bonus of a Level 3 MLD Permit issued from Texas Parks & Wildlife that allows our clients unlimited tags for both does and bucks and extended season dates.  Every year we take a number of management bucks and the trophies are only harvested as mature.  No matter what type of deer you are interested in, this makes for great hunting.  At Santa Margarita hunters can expect whitetail hunting at its finest.  To see 20-30 bucks in a day is a reasonable expectation, especially during the rut (December-early January).
