Windsor
Orange 700
205 5/8" B&C @ 3 years old
Windsor is a classic example of Highgate's offspring: huge-framed typicals with extrordinary tine length and mass that carries all the way through.
Back to Breeder Bucks
A look at Windsor's pedigree chart shows the kind of careful breeding that has made SMR known for big Texas typicals. The strategy to breed Highgate to Red 48, Windsor's sire and dam, goes 4 generations deep: Highgate, a great grandson of Boss through Bodacious, crossed back into the Boss line through an Orange 811 (Bodacious' half-brother) great grand-daughter. Variations of this deep cross have produced very consistent offspring and Windsor will provide the next generation for breeding at SMR.
